New Raspberry Pi model B+

This is a little late, but since July a new Raspberry Pi model has been out.

Adafruit has got a details overview of what's different.

There's now 4 USB ports, which is great, with better hotplug and overcurrent behaviour. Given that Wifi takes up one port, having four ports is really good!

Also the card has changed to micro sd, which is good: The card is more secure for day-to-day use, and doens't protrude. Also, the last time I bought a 32GB card for a Raspberry Pi, micro-SD seemed to have the best prices. There also is supposed to be lower power consumption, which is always a good thing: "By replacing linear regulators with switching ones we’ve reduced power consumption by between 0.5W and 1W."

One of the things that's supposed to be improved is audio (which would be / would have been great). I haven't tested this myself yet, however this review seems quite thorough, but claims that the audio quality really isn't improved that much. So that's something that needs looking at!

In any case, I'll be ordering a B+!
